Download and edit your digital video (DV) with the easy to use Port Authority Firewire Notebook Controller. Port Authority, by Cables To Go, allows you to easily add two 400Mbps 1394 ports to your PC or MacIntosh notebook computer. The Port Authority Firewire Notebook Controller is a 32-bit PCCard with dual 400Mbps 1394 ports. Each port handles up to 400Mbps which are fully hot-swappable and daisy-chainable up to 63 devices. Supported under Windows(98 SE/ME/2000/XP) and Mac OS X /9.0.4 and higher, the Port Authority2 PCCard enables your laptop to take advantage of todays high-speed FireWire devices, such as DV cameras/camcorders, hard disks, scanners, set-top boxes & other high-tech appliances.
