I recently brought home the entire Beta set. This included the Beta C360 center, 2 x Beta 50 fronts, 2 x Beta ES250 surrounds, and 2 x Beta 10's for the rear. I am powering these monsters with my 100 x 7 THX Onkyo receiver. The first movie I watched with the set was Gladiator which allowed me to set my individual speaker levels. The C360 gave me a clean crisp sound whether I had it cranked up or low enough so others could sleep. After completing my adjustments, I threw the HD Batman Begins in my Toshiba HDDVD player. The Dolby Digital EX sounded magnificent and the Batmobile shook the room as it drove by. If you are looking for big sound, these speakers will give you just that. The only problem with the speaker is that it is large. 35 lbs, 2 feet wide large. I had recently purchased the Omnimount CCH1B to allow me to mount my center channel directly on top of my 58" DLP TV. Unfortunately, the mount will only hold up to 30 lbs. I fixed that problem by using 2 of the mounts, so far no problems at all. Actually, I'm more comfortable having that up on my monitor with 2 stands rather than my old 25 lb Polk center with 1 stand. After fixing this problem, I decided to play some games on the Xbox 360. Games seem to sound the same no matter what speakers you use, but these Infinity's had such a real life feeling that I became completely immersed in the Forza Motorsport 2 demo. Engine sounds came from the Front and Rear speakers giving you the feeling you were inside the car. Gun shots and explosions in Call of Duty 3 sounded great too. I’m still breaking in the Beta’s but so far I am extremely pleased with the sound quality. There is a night and day difference over my old Polk setup. Infinity wins! Music came to life in surround mode with the SACD sampler, by far the most amazing speakers I’ve heard in this price range. If you are in the market for a new set of speakers, and have the room, I recommend picking up any combination of the Infinity Beta’s. They have a very nice black finish with metal screens. This 3 way center channel would make an excellent addition to any audiophiles’ home theater setup, but speakers always sound best when matched in a set.
