Worked like a charm! The previous SATA HD I tried was not designed specifically for video/DVR use and was super noisy and pixellated periodically. I put this drive in an Antec MX-1 external enclosure, hooked it up to my (Time-Warner) Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR box via an e_SATA cable and Voila!-my recording capacity jumped from 160Gb to 900Gb!! Great performance, no glitches, smooth video, very quiet- essentially invisible! Highly reccomend this drive. Thanks, CompSource!
