Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use this for a watercooled rig, running SLI videocards.
It's an 80+ powersupply, across all usage scenarios, which is good, simply because even if I don't use all 1000 watts of power, it will still have a higher efficiency rating than my old powersupply.
Also, I won't have to buy another powersupply in a long, long time.
