Easy to Use but Loud
By Read This FirstVerified Reviewer from Arizona on 12/21/2007
Pros:
Easy To Set Up
Cons:
Remote Access
Best Uses:
Early Warning
Describe Yourself:
Do-It-Yourself
Primary use:
Personal

Pro: Is easy to navigate menus and setup.
Cons: The fan on the side to keep it cool is so loud you will not be able to stay in the same room for long. You will see someone breaking in, but will not hear them. Q-See is aware of this complaint.
Also, if you have a power outage, you need to put the admin password in after the dvr reboots automatically. This is bad since if you are on the road and want to look in on your cameras via the internet this will not be possible any longer. You need to get in front of the DVR and type in the password to complete reboot and bring the dvr back online. So if you plan to be on the road and the power goes out on the dvr and then it reboots, you will not be able to access it anymore until you go back to the dvr and enter the pass code. This can not be done remotely either. Have talked to Tech Support and they Acknowledge both of these.
If remote viewing is not a priority or sound levels, this is the best machine I have found.
