PRO BINOCULARS AT A GLANCE Our flagship line of PRO binoculars are ideal for outdoor activities - everything from birdwatching to locating wildlife for a photo shoot. Or take them to sporting events so you'll always feel close to the action. Available in 8 x 42 and 10 x 42 magnifications, both models feature high-quality ED lenses for delivering high resolution images with vivid color. A ZERO lens coating stops glare. Built to feel comfortable in your hand all day, PRO binoculars are waterproof, fog-resistant and have a minimum focusing distance of 1.5 meters for ultra-close viewing. PRO binoculars. Must have gear for any adventure. MORE BRIGHTNESS, LESS GLARE. Always have a clear, bright field of view with PRO binoculars. Thanks to our cutting-edge ZERO (Zuiko Extra-Low Reflection Optical) anti-reflection coating used in professional camera lenses and microscopes, ghosting and flares are reduced even when your subject is backlit. There's less glare, more light and colors look so much more lifelike. Images stay sharp because reflections are minimized. A dielectric, highly-reflective prism coating with 99% reflectivity all but eliminates prism light loss to boost brightness. ALL ABOUT THE GLASS Our professional grade camera lenses feature ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass, a breakthrough technology from Olympus. Now it's built into our PRO binoculars. This special glass reduces chromatic aberrations that cause blurring. And less blurring means sharper images. The roof prisms use a phase correction coating to produce high resolution, high contrast images with true-to-life color. EXQUISITE CLOSE-UP DETAILS. Observe the markings on a bird's beak from hundreds of feet away. Or watch an insect open its wings from a few feet away. PRO binoculars are ideal for capturing those tiny but beautiful details. They have an ultra-close minimum focusing distance of only 1.5 meters, giving you more ways to use the binoculars in all types of situations. You'll always be able to clearly see those details that make watching birds or wildlife so rewarding. THERE'S TOUGH. THEN THERE'S OLYMPUS PRO BINOCULARS. Stuff happens. Binoculars fall into a creek. Or get dirty after a day in the woods. Rain splashes on the lenses. Not to worry. PRO binoculars are built to stay in 3 feet of water for up to 5 minutes and still work fine. An oil-repellent coating on the eyepieces lets you remove water spots and dirt with one wipe of a cloth. Nitrogen-filled optical tubes prevent lenses from fogging when the temperature changes dramatically. These binoculars can handle themselves in tough conditions so you can focus on your adventure. CLASSIC STYLE, PREMIUM FEEL. Olympus OM-D cameras have a modern design. You'll find similar styling with our premium PRO binoculars. A sleek, compact profile. Rubberized armor finish. Palm and finger placement indents for a comfortable grip. They're made to feel natural and secure in your hands. A rubber eyepiece cap lets you see clearly with prescription glasses. Turn the diopter left or right to adjust to your eyesight. A tethered, fold-down objective lens cap won't get lost. A stylish design that incorporates plenty of powerful features. | |

Learn more about Binoculars/Monoculars
1. Determine what you need
- What type of photography will you be doing? (portraits, landscapes, macro, sports)
- The more megapixels often equates to more noise in the picture. If you’re only printing images at a normal size then anything over 5 megapixels will be fine. If you start blowing your images up you might want to pay the extra money for the upper end of what’s on the market today.
- While Digital SLRs are getting more affordable they are not for everyone. They do however produce extremely professional photos! While a Compact point and shoot is great for a trip, many are even waterproof.
- Not all ‘zooms’ are created equal. Digital zooms simply enlarge the pixels which makes it look more pixelated. If you’re looking for a zoom lens make sure it’s an optical zoom (most modern cameras have them of at least 3x in length – ie they’ll make your subject three times as big – with an increasing array of ‘super zooms’ coming onto the market at up to 12x Optical Zoom).
