The WAX608Y is a fast, weather-resistant WiFi 6 access point, ideal for residential or commercial integration projects with outdoor WiFi coverage needs. The dualband access point delivers up to 1.8Gbps total WiFi throughput and is supported by a 2.5Gbps Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) port. The WAX608Y comes with (4) four years of Insight Pro remote management and (4) four years of ProSupport included.

WAX608Y is designed to withstand harsh environment conditions including prolonged exposure to sunlight, cold, frost, snow, rainfall, hail, and humidity. It is rated IP55 and supports temperatures from -20C to 60C.

The WAX608Y supports WiFi 6 smart phones, IoT devices, and notebook computers, delivering up to 40% more throughput to each individual device in the 5GHz band and 70% more throughput in the 2.4GHz band, compared to the previous generation equivalent model. It also provides 4x the client device connection, allowing businesses to serve more customers with better speed and less congestion.

The WAX608Y is ideal in large residential estates or high density client device environments such as schools, hotels, restaurants and conference centers, and provides enterprise grade WiFi network security. With Insight management, WAX608Y works seamlessly with your current NETGEAR Insight managed switches, WiFi access points and network storage, and is compatible with previous generation WiFi devices (WiFi 5 802.11ac for example) and WiFi Access Points.
